The week went by so quickly. It was busy, but I didn't know what I was busy with, like a headless fly. Fortunately, I am writing a weekly journal now and have some records every day. I have some new ideas and new attempts, learned some things, but I still feel like a blind person touching an elephant.
The weather changed dramatically this week. It started with an unusual rise in temperature, and even the air conditioner was turned on in the dormitory. Then it suddenly rained and cooled down, and now it's back to normal sunny weather. The difference is quite big. But it's considered normal autumn weather now. The sun is nice, warm at noon, and cool in the morning and evening.
Unlock: Toutuo Ridge
Toutuo Ridge Scenic Area is the main peak area of Zijin Mountain, with an altitude of about 440 meters. Standing on Toutuo Ridge, you can overlook the urban landscape of Nanjing and the entire Zhongshan Scenic Area. Due to a car breakdown, I unexpectedly unlocked Toutuo Ridge.
On Wednesday afternoon, I made an appointment with a few cycling friends to go to Shitang Renjia in Jiangning District. The round trip was about 100 kilometers, which was a long-distance cycling trip. However, less than 10 kilometers after setting off, the brake cable suddenly broke. I couldn't find any nearby repair shops, so I had to return alone and went to a car shop near the school for repairs. After replacing the brake cable, of course, I was unwilling to go back, so I decided to go around Huanling (which means cycling around the entire Zhongshan Scenic Area, where there are many attractions and it is a popular cycling route in Nanjing). On the way, I came across a parking lot and saw several cyclists turning in, so I followed them and entered, embarking on a wonderful uphill journey.
I had heard my cycling friends talk about the cycling route to Toutuo Ridge before, but I had never been there. This time, I experienced what it's like to climb a real hill. It was nearly seven to eight kilometers of climbing with an elevation gain of over 400 meters. Climbing uphill is really a test of willpower. You can't stop. Once you stop, you lose momentum, and some sections are dangerous to stop. You have to make a concerted effort to climb up. But you also need to maintain a good rhythm and not exert too much force, or you may burn out. Just like this time, I was halfway up the hill and exerted too much force, causing my leg to cramp. I had to stop and rest. After reaching the summit, everything was worth it. Enjoying the cool breeze, admiring the scenery, and taking a break felt very comfortable.
Going uphill is difficult, but going downhill is also difficult. The road surface alternates between gravel and cement, and it's downhill, so the speed is fast. My hands were almost numb, and the braking performance of the bike was not good, so I had to squeeze the brakes with all my strength. Looking back now, it was quite dangerous.
About Sleep
Some sleep problems that bother me:
One is about taking a nap. Should I lie on the bed or sleep on the desk? How long should I nap at noon? In middle and high school, I used to sleep on the desk, so now I naturally choose to lie on the bed. It's undoubtedly more comfortable to lie down. If you sleep on the desk for a long time, your hands, feet, or even face will feel numb, which seems a bit inhumane.
However, I found that it's better to rest on the desk at noon because every time I lie on the bed to sleep, I feel very comfortable. But if I sleep for a long time, I will enter a strange state. The more I sleep, the more tired I feel, and the more I want to sleep. I can't seem to get enough sleep. When I finally wake up, I feel extremely exhausted and lack energy. On the other hand, even though it's not very comfortable to sleep on the desk, you won't sleep for a long time, and it still serves as a certain amount of rest. After waking up, I always feel more energetic. So, it's better not to lie down and sleep at noon, and not to sleep for too long, about half an hour is enough.
Another issue is about staying up late. Sometimes it takes a long time or is difficult to fall asleep. I think it's because I think too much before going to bed, and my thoughts are chaotic. It feels like my brain is constantly working. Another point is that my sleep has always been very light. I feel like I've slept, but also feel like I haven't slept. It's like Schrödinger's sleep... Similar to before, it feels like my brain is still half working, and I wake up as soon as there is any sound or movement, and I can hear everything clearly. I don't know if there is any way to adjust this...

Django
Recently, I have been exposed to some things about Python web development, mainly the Django framework. The main structure of this framework is its MVT (Model-View-Template) structure, which is in line with the MVC design pattern but has some differences. The entire framework structure is clear and easy to understand. I only know some basics of Python, but I can follow along and learn. It feels suitable for lightweight and fast web development. -
lazyvim
A pre-packaged nvim configuration that uses lazy.vim as a plugin manager. The author of these two things is the same talented person. There are many similar configuration packages, but I have never used them. I have been using a configuration that I spent a long time tinkering with, which barely meets my needs. But these days, I suddenly had the idea of experiencing this kind of ready-to-use thing.
After trying it out, I was pleasantly surprised. I instantly felt that my configuration was a mess. The most impressive thing is that it's fast. There should be many plugins that are lazily loaded. The UI is also cool, which can be used to show off. In terms of functionality, it's basically fully configured, a bit excessive for me. The only cost of using it is adapting to its keymapping. I think for those who want to mainly use nvim(vim) but haven't tinkered with configurations much, choosing this kind of ready-to-use option is a very good choice.

Cycling🚴
I usually write my weekly report on Sundays, but sometimes I go cycling on Sundays, so I may not include it in the report. Last Sunday, I went cycling, so I'll add it here.
